Slide Show of photos from Connor Prairie today.

Connor Prairie opened this week and the kids have been begging to go. Fortunately the weather cooperated today.
Today was one of our best visits. Every time we go there is something different happening. As soon we arrived today, they were conducting Militia training right in front of the Golden Eagle Inn, so Andrew jumped right in. Laura thought it would be a good time to help tidy up a bit and swept the front porch of the Inn. Mid way through the training Laura felt that she should go help in the Kitchen since they were making Ginger cookies, I couldn't disagree. :)
Andrew did very well in his training except his 'gun' was a bit heavy and every time they turned right or left, he nailed the person next to him in the head.
Since it was spring time, there were many new additions to the farm. We saw baby sheep that were hours old, day old piglets and a cow who is due any day now.
Other sites we visited today were the Blacksmith, the Dry Goods store, The School house, the Farmer's house and barn.

could you call the ping family next time you head out on an adventure? Just mark it on the calendar...my kids want to come to you community pool this summer. I will bring the hot dogs and adult beverages ;) - Are you getting zoo passes?Although our last trip to the zoo was a bit too much for me to handle.
We need to get together once a week this summer...Christel has the best back yard - we can just show up over there.
