Looking for Cards for a New Card Book!

I've got some exciting news to share! Summer Fullerton and I wrapped up our book about Scrapbooking through the year titled (Remember This: Fresh Page Ideas to Scrapbook the Year) due out in 2010. This book is full of so many different contributors from all over the world. It was so enjoyable to see the many different ways people approached the subjects we all scrap each year. (Holidays, Seasons, Birthdays, Vacations, Anniversaries, Sports, 1st days of school, etc)

THEN a project I have been hoping to work on for a year now finally has been given the green light. If you've followed my blog for the past year or 2 you may have noticed I have been bitten by the cardmaking bug. With F&W Media, we are going forward with a book full of fresh ideas on the basics in cardmaking.

I've hand picked some very talented card making friends to get started on some of the cards but, I would love to fill this book with many different styles and possibly include a card from YOU! I'm looking to fill this book with close to 200 cards in many different sentiment categories.

If you may be interested in sending me a card or 2 for consideration here are the guidelines:

1. Please submit no more than 3 cards.
2. We would prefer cards that DO NOT have sentiments on the front of the card. I will accept a few with sentiments on the front but, we are mainly looking for ones that can inspire readers even if they don't speak the English language.
3. Compensation in exchange for your card(s) will be a copy of the book.

and finally

4. All cards selected will not be returned but, will instead be donated to Cards For Heroes http://cardsforhereos.org. I am very passionate about this organization. They were very supportive to my Husband's unit when they were deployed to Iraq last year. I would like to support them in return for all that they do by donating all cards that will be in this book.

In a nutshell, these are the themes of cards I am looking for:
Birthday (Adult, Kid, Milestone)
Holidays (Christmas - including Gift Cards and Photo cards, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Grandparents Day, Halloween)
Special Days (Graduation, Wedding/Wedding Shower, Baby/Baby Shower, Anniversary)
Basic Sentiments (Thank You, Thinking of You, Miss You, Friendship, Good Luck, Sympathy, Get Well, New Home/We've Moved, Congratulations, Get Well)

All cards must be new and unseen (not posted online).
Cards must be submitting by Sept 15th. I will select shortly there after and email requests for the cards choosen.
Please email submissions with Name, Address, Phone Number, Supply List and any information you would like to share about your project to kimbercardbook@gmail.com

Feel free to email me at that above email with any questions as well.

Have a great one!
kimber

Congrats on the book!! I can't wait to see it when it comes out!

I also hope I can think up something suitable to submit for an opportunity! No sentiment makes it more interesting!

This is fantastic. I truly appreciate that you want to send the cards to CFH - that is where most all the cards I make go nowadays. Thanks for this opportunity

Congratulations on a New Card Book! I like the idea of cards without sentiment that can inspire readers even if they don't speak the English language. And what a great idea to support Cards For Heroes. Thanks for doing this.

I love this call and have it on my To Do list (after I clean the nsbr stuff off my desk!). I also challenged one of my talented scrappy friends to create a card or two for the call as well. :)

What a wonderful thing to donate them to CFH! I love their organization and have donated cards to them before, but feel even more strongly about it now that my nephew has gone into the military.
