a few cards

1st a quick update, the 1st day of school went well! Andrew said he had a great time and couldn't wait to go back.
Today when it was time to make his lunch he said, "Mommy, yesterday the lunch lady was handing out hot dogs. I want to get my lunch at school today." I told him that lunch is different every day and we can look and see what was on the menu today. Today is Grilled cheese as one of the choices. He lit up! "Can I please get grilled cheese at school?" ha! We'll see how this goes today.

Ok, a few random cards from the past week.
This one was done for this week's SketchThis.
I was very fortunate to have met Lisa with Cornish Heritage Farms.
at CHA. She asked me what my favorite stamp was of theirs and I had been LOVING what Kim Hughes had been making using the Fine Houndstooth Scrapblock stamp. It's 6x6!!!!
Lisa not only handed me that stamp but the Pin Dot Scrapblock stamp and the Grid Paper Backgrounder!
I was totally in heaven! This card is for her and her generousity! Now if I can actually part with it and send it to her!
Other supplies: Cardstock:WORLDWIN Paper, Strano Ribbon, Close to My Heart Inks and Kim Hughes Collection stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms
This one came about when my mom was here playing with my Cuttlebug embossing folders.
Totally love how the embossing on the white cardstock looks!
Also had to get the American Crafts Flair while looking for something at Archivers for my mom.
Supplies: Cardstock: WORLDWIN Papers/Colormates, Pattern Paper: American Crafts and My Mind's Eye. Embellishments: American Crafts, Stamp: Imaginise, Ink: Ranger.
And finally, a quick little card I made using some of the goodies I bought and some that I received from Chatterbox for my Design Team call back. All I did was cut out that butterfly from some of the pattern paper and add a bit of stickles to him. That chipboard frame was just gorgeous.
I think that's all for now.
Off for an exciting trip to Costco! ha!

Glad to hear Andrews' first day went well - I am sending my youngest - the fourth to JK in about a month - I am trying to prepare myself!!!! It is such a milestone when the first one goes but than such a bittersweet when the "baby" goes!!!

Beautiful cards too!!!

Oh how you rocked those CHF stamps! Great example of how to use what starts out as a great big stamp!!! I loved that sketch too and did a layout using it.
