Cards for Hero's Card Drive with Hero Arts

Late last week I got an email from Jen McGuire asking if I would be willing to make a few cards to help kick off a card drive she wanted to do in conjunction with Hero Arts for Cards for Hero's.

1st off Jen is one of the most talented and kind scrappers/cardmakers I know and I have always loved her work. In fact, when I started scrapping 3 1/2 years ago, I went to CKU Masters in Nashville and took a class she taught. I still have those cards we made in class.

Jen sent me some fun stamps to play with to help give some ideas of what we as families of deployed soldiers would send to them over the holidays. I also made some general Christmas cards to showcase some ideas for those that want to make and send in for the soldier's to send back to their families.

I know 1st hand how bad the card selections are at the PX's on base. Any cards that are sent for the soldier's to use will be greatly appreciated.

These are a few photo cards that I made using photos of the family and kids to send to my Husband. These are super simple and quick to make.

Here are a few cards that I will send along so he can send them back to us or on to his parents and sister for Christmas.
Not only was Jen and Hero Arts extremely generous in what they sent me to play with, Jen asked if I would like to give-a-way my favorites that I used.
Of course I couldn't pick just one. The clear stamps were a perfect combination of traditional sentiments and fun animals that both myself and my kids enjoyed too. And I couldn't resist the little Holly Bird either. He's too cute!
Just leave a comment for our soldier's serving both at home and overseas. I will draw a name for these stamps on Friday the 5th and Hero Arts will send them to you directly.
Have a great one!
