Tis the Season for School Events and Teacher Gifts!

Last week was one of those weeks we all encounter if you have young, school aged kiddos.
Every day it seemed like you needed to be at their school to help make Gingerbread Houses or witness the singing of songs of the season.
It's also the time you want to show your gratitude for the amazing teachers that are teaching your children and helping them grow.
We are very fortunate to have fantastic teachers for both kids this year. They have the patience of a Saint and the Positive Attitude and Excitement that sends the kids bounding home every day to tell you everything they did in School.

After taking the time to pull together a few gifts that I hoped the Teachers would like, I realized at the last minute that I needed some gift tags for their gifts. These took all of a minute to throw together since I used the supplies leftover from my Christmas cards. (Yes, the leftovers are STILL on my desk. I have a hard time throwing away extra pieces sometimes)
The tag itself is just a piece of Kraft cardstock that I scallop punched 1 end and folded over. I adhered a Journaling Sprout from Jillibean Soup, punched some holes that the top and added twine and a poinsettia left from my cards. (Cardstock is WorldWin Papers/Treasures/Crafty Brown and Stamps are Stampin' UP!)

Laura had a little program at Preschool. She was so cute. She sang 3 songs with her class. Here she is with her best friend Becca.
Then Andrew had a fun morning at school where their class made 'gingerbread houses'. Someone was so smart and they glued graham crackers to milk cartons ahead of time so the kids just had to slather them with white tub icing and then deck them out with every candy under the sun! We had so much fun making these! We made a smaller gingerbread house this year at home. It was a 'Hansel and Gretel' themed one. It was fun to relate the story to them this way.We love all these fun activites this time of year.
Enjoy your Holidays too!
