I wanted to create an advent calendar that I could use every year and was big enough to house more than a small chocolate. This year I am putting 2 Polly Pocket girls and small accessories in each of the boxes. Target sells value packs of the Polly's so it makes it an affordable filler.
I found these boxes that looked like a big piece of wrapped candy at a craft store (in the wedding favors section). Then cut pieces of patterned paper to wrap around them, tied ribbon and twine around the middle. Finally I punched holes in the upper corner of the Inchie Squares with a Crop-a-dile, stamped the numbers and snowflakes with coordinating colors and tied them on each box.The Inchie Squares work perfectly since they are so durable. I know that they won't get destroyed after 1 year.
Supplies:
Boxes: Martha Stewart
Inchies Squares: Inchie Arts
Patterned Paper: Jillibean Soup
Ribbon: Jillibean Soup
Twine: Jillibean Soup
Stamps: Hero Arts
Ink: Momento and Stampin' UP!
Punch: Stampin' UP!
Have a good one!
